Synopsis: The title pretty much says it all here. We learn the identity of the Ten Commandments Killer. It's a credit to the overall success of Hotel that Ryan Murphy & co. have managed to craft an interesting episode around the least interesting storyline of the season. Hard to complain about an episode with this much sweet, sweet March action.

Synopsis: We learn about the Countess' past - her connection with Mr. March and the story of how/when she was turned into a vampire. Det John is getting closer to solving the case of the 10 Commandments Killer, but has to go to some pretty extreme lengths, in order to get the answers he's looking for. Finally, construction workers, hired by Drake to revamp the Hotel Cortez, uncover one of the hotel's long-buried secrets.

Synopsis: After being invited to a bloody teat-sucking party, hosted by The Countess, Alex uses her own newly-hightened blood as an unconventional and controversial method of treatment for her measels patient. What has to be the worst, most obnoxious, Halloween-hating couple push Iris to her breaking point, and Liz Taylor's background with The Countess is revealed and it is glorious. Praise Her!

We also learn about how The Countess lost all her money. Last, but certainly not least, Tristan seeks out Mr. March to discuss their favorite topic...murder!

Synopsis: In this premiere, we meet quite a few of the characters who occupy the Hotel Cortez; Iris (Kathy Bates), Hypodermic Sally (Sara Paulson), Det. John Lowe (Wes Bentley), (Donovan) Matt Bomer, Dr. Alex Lowe (Chloë Sevingny), Liz Taylor (Denis O'Hare), Will Drake (Cheyenne Jackson), The Countess (Lady Gaga), and Gabriel (Max Greenfield).
The Hotel Cortez seems to be a place where people come to stay...forever! Kidding aside, that's one of the main pieces of info we learn in this episode. The other is that Det. Lowe has been working a grisly case involving a very creative serial killer. He's checking into the Cortez because his son has been kidnapped (presumably by the serial killer) and his wife, Alex, can't be in the same house as him on account of him looking so much like their missing son.Â
This first episode is definitely a setup for what could potentially be a pretty awesome season. Here's hoping they don't blow it.
